CBM provides two major advantages: (1) an efficient approach for weighting maintenance objectives, and (2) a method for specifying physical methods for achieving those objectives. Maintenance cost and reliability objectives are calculated based on proportional hazards model and a control limit CBM replacement policy.

Written primarily for engineers and management personnel working on offshore and deepwater oil and gas pipelines, this book covers the fundamentals needed to design, Install, and commission pipeline projects. For more than a century Christian theologians have attempted to construct "theologies of religion" that would be recognized as authentically Christian and authentic in relation to the historical and social reality of many religions. This attempt usually ends in an impasse in which either only one religion is portrayed as holding the true path to salvation, or that many do. Neither the exclusivist nor the pluralist position is completely satisfactory in integrating the two goals of an authentically Christian and historically viable theology of religions. In calling this book Salvations author S. Mark Heim moves the theology of religions project beyond taking sides on exclusivist and pluralist views. The crux of his argument is this: that it makes more sense to speak of salvation in the plural, to maintain that the ends of various religions are indeed varied and significantly constituted by the paths taken to reach them. At the same time, all paths - Christianity included - can and must make or require exclusive commitments on the part of those that hold them. One of the most intriguing features of Salvations is its careful critique of the pluralist assumption of a single religious end to the many religions. Heim's careful analysis of the writings of John Hick, Wilfred Cantwell Smith, and Paul Knitter points out a central weakness in the pluralist argument: by insisting that different religions point to the same "ultimate, " pluralism fails its own test of plurality. Heim points out that exclusivists should note that in hypothesizing the many ends of different religions, Salvations contradicts neither the finality of Christ, nor the authentic, independent validity of other religions.

As anti-Semitism is again on the rise, and, as ignorance is not only prevalent, but also rampant, inculcating the uneducated and misinformed masses with the truth may possibly and hopefully result in a diminution, if not a culmination of anti-Jewish hostility.

This treatise is a depiction of the most important trial in the annals of history - a trial dealing with the most tragic libel in the history of the human race - a libel that was causal in crusades, inquisitions, pogroms, Holocausts, and other crimes against an innocent people for more than nineteen centuries. Rectifying this ongoing injustice is the primary purpose of this publication!

A CHALLENGE

For more than nineteen centuries, Christians have been accusing Jews of having shed innocent blood, the blood of their lord Jesus Christ. They claim that almost two thousand years ago, the Great Sanhedrin, the highest tribunal in the land of Judea, unjustly convicted Jesus of the capital offense of blasphemy, and delivered him to the Roman Procurator to be crucified.

This accusation based solely upon the testimony of the Four Gospels, has never been brought to trial in any court of law. No verdict and no decision of guilt against the Jews has ever been handed down by a competent tribunal. Yet, Christians have ever since been depriving the Jews of their legal and natural rights without due process of law.
